What is PSD2?

PSD2 (Payment Service Directive 2) is a European directive that aims to improve security and strengthen protection against fraud in banking operations made over the internet. In addition, it also regulates the access, with consent, of your bank account data to third parties. This resolution supposes for the consumer the elimination of intermediaries in electronic payment operations.

It is a European directive that aims to expand competition in the electronic payments market to strengthen the position of the consumer, as the European Commission explains in its proposal.
